Power outage cause remains unknown

Parts of the region were thrown into darkness yesterday morning, with power out to over 400 customers in our area.

 

Essential Energy told 2MG that their crews responded quickly, after electricity network protection equipment activated automatically after detecting a problem, switching power off to 463 homes and businesses in Eurundereee and Putta Bucca areas at 7.21am.

 

Crews carried out a patrol of the electricity network in the area and, after ensuring it was safe to do so, restored power to all customers by 8.26am.

 

The cause of the unplanned outage was not found.

 

Essential Energy thanks customers for their patience as crews worked to restore their power supply as quickly as safety allowed.
