Bridle Track works to commence
The re-opening of the iconic Bridle Track is a step closer with an area of land having now been now handed over to Bathurst Regional Council.
For
years the Bridle Track linking Hill End and Bathurst has been closed to
traffic due to rock slides, which has made the road impassable.
Member
for Bathurst and NSW Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul
Toole, confirmed on Friday that Bathurst Regional Council now has
ownership of properties around Monaghans Bluff, which will allow for
work to commence to re-open that section of the Bridle Track.
The NSW Government previously gave funding of $2million to Bathurst Council in 2018 towards the project.
