Fermenta seeking input


 Local producers, cooks and food service providers experienced in the art of fermented food and drink will have the opportunity to host intimate workshops as part of the inaugural Fermenta Festival in Rylstone and Kandos next year.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from workshop hosts to present on their specialised fermented product or process as part of the event.

Workshop hosts must produce or cook with a fermented product that could include sourdough, sauerkraut, kombucha, small batch beers, fine wines, chocolate or cheese.

Mayor Des Kennedy said planning is well underway for the inaugural event and encourages local food and beverage producers and food providers to get on board and join in this unique festival.”

In addition to workshops, local stallholders can also apply to be a part of market stalls taking place in Kandos on event day.

The Fermenta Festival will be held on Saturday 13 March in accordance with covid safe practices.
