Mr Gee says “the last couple of years have been pretty tough with drought, bushfires and now COVID-19. That has placed a lot of stress and pressure on people in our community.”

The MP also says that “men’s Sheds have an important role to play in bringing people together, providing a sense of community and belonging and giving back. The impact of that positivity on people’s health and well-being cannot be underestimated,” he said.

In the past ten years, more than $6 million in grants have been issued to Men’s Sheds across Australia.
