Newcastle Permanent Toy Drive
The Newcastle Permanent Branches and the Salvation army are teaming up once again to hold the 32nd annual Toy Run for this Christmas.
The toy drive collects presents for kids and teenagers, with the goal of making this Christmas enjoyable for a record number of families in need of a helping hand after a challenging year.
From now through to December 21, all Newcastle Permanent branches in NSW, including Mudgee will become collection points for toys and gifts.
Mudgee’s Assistant branch manager, Debby Clemmet, says they are "calling on the community to give whatever they can, especially this year gifts also more suitable for teenagers."
Presents donated are required to be new, unwrapped, unused and can be of any value. They can range from accessories, movie tickets, sports equipment, electrical appliances or even gift vouchers to spend in store.
Gifts can be dropped into the collection boxes inside the Newcastle Permanent Branch along Church Street, Mudgee anytime within opening hours, Monday to Friday.
