Open Day Trial In Council's Monthly Meetings

Local Residents wishing to address Mid-Western Regional Council can do so once more, with a trial of the Open Day section of Council’s monthly meetings.

The Open Day is an opportunity for residents to address Councillors on matters within the business paper as well as other topics within Council’s reach.

Speakers must contact the General Manager’s Office by 4pm the day before the Council meeting each time to register, also identifying the topic they want to cover.

Only four speakers are to be permitted to speak on the same topic.

At present, the Chambers will remain closed to the general public, with only four people permitted to speak on one topic.

Meetings will continue to be streamed on Council's website – with the first ordinary will be held next Wednesday, February 17th.
