Council's March Meeting

Mid-Western Regional Council held their March monthly meeting last night in the Mudgee Chambers.

Following the controversy earlier this week, councillors changed the motion on the new art gallery in Mudgee, the MUD RAG now dead & buried.

Councillors voted to temporarily rename is gallery to “Mudgee Region Gallery” and will also engage the services of a marketing consultant to develop and brand platform for the gallery, which would include services by the gallery, names and the logo used.

A further report is expected back before councillors in April.

It was also noted in councils Cultural Development Committee minutes from their February meeting which recommended the MUDRAG Logo also noted that the design was expected to be disliked by Councillors and the Public.

Meanwhile, Council will also work with Western NSW Local Health District to attempt to attract another Doctor to Gulgong.

In a motion that was supported by all councillors, council will work with the health district and Dugald Saunders on the purchase of a second Dr house in Gulgong, and other was to attract the General Practitioners to our area.
