Numbers Tallied For Event-Filled Mudgee Weekend
Mid-Western Regional Council has tallied the numbers on the flux of tourism to Mudgee and the Region from over the weekend.
Mayor Des Kennedy says it’s it was exciting to welcome patrons back to Glen Willow after 12 months without a major event.
The NRL match saw a crowd of 6,840 patrons strong to witness St George take on Souths, while there was also an estimate of $1.49 million spent at local restaurants, cafes, retailers and accommodation providers from the weekend alone.
The NRL returns to Mudgee in seven weeks when the Manly Sea Eagles verse the Gold Coast Titans on April 17.
